Discovering Tapestry
Our next Discovery Class is this Sunday, September 28 immediately following morning worship at Max & Lynda Blazina's. This is a great opportunity to learn what our church is about, where we sense God is leading us and how you can be part of the Tapestry family. Pizza lunch will be provided. Ladies - looking for a time of encouragement, enrichment, inspirational teaching and worship? The Midwest Baptist Association is sponsoring a women's retreat on October 3 (7:00 - 9:00 pm) and October 4th (9:00 am - 3:30 pm) at Richmond Hill Baptist Church in Calgary. Appetizers/desserts are provided on Friday evening and lunch is provided on Saturday. Cost: $40. For more information, please contact Kathy Morales at 403-932-5688.
A Note from the Elders
Last Sunday, September 21, Tapestry Church unanimously affirmed Steve Rathje to serve as our lead pastor (elder). Steve has been a faithful member of Tapestry, serving as a home group leader as well as chairman of our transition team. He has expressed and evidenced a call from God to ministry and we are excited that he has agreed to lead us during this important season in the life of our church. His passion is discipleship and missions. As he works with the elders and the congregation we believe God will continue to pour out his blessings under Steve's leadership. Please pray regularly for Steve and Marilyn as well as their children, Sara, Jana, and Jonah.

Tapestry's Youth Ministry (Grade 7+) kicks off a new year this Friday, September 12. They'll meet at the Tuscany Club at 6:30 pm and head to Bowness Park for S'mores and games. For more info, please contact Josh & Kelly Genn (403-668-1479).
Fall Family Hike
This Saturday, September 13. We'll meet at 1:00 pm at the Tuscany Club and head out to Kananaskis to hike the Troll Falls trail. This short, easy hike is perfect for the whole family. Come hang out and enjoy some fresh mountain air!

Kick-off Sunday
The kids are back in school, people are home from vacation, and many of our church ministries are getting back in full swing. This Sunday is our Fall Kick-off and we're going celebrate by having a potluck right after the service at Thom & Lorie Gordon's (59 Church Ranches Blvd). Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided; please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share. This is a perfect chance to reconnect as a church family after the summer and welcome the many new friends who have recently joined us.
