We took a few moments of Big Fall Sunday to outline our current leadership at Tapestry, and to give some more details on the roadmap through transition. We want everyone to know who our leaders are and to have the access to them they need. If you have any further questions, or need to talk to us about anything, please feel free to contact any or all of us.
Pastoral Team
Many have been wondering about the process for calling a new pastor, and when they will get to be involved in that process. We hope that this brief outline will help you to understand the process, and look forward to the time when you will get to add your voice to the mix. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Steve Rathje, the Transition Team Chairperson.

- Present the new constitution and membership
covenant to congregation by September 30.
• Begin to collect resumes for pastoral candidates.
• Prayerfully consider and make recommendation to the Leadership Team.
• Once the Leadership Team has affirmed a pastoral candidate he will be invited to meet with the church over a weekend of activities that will allow the church to get to know the potential pastor and ask questions.
• Following this, the congregation will be asked to pray for a period of time and then meet to either affirm that they sense this is the person God would have to serve as our next pastor, or to state they do not sense this is God's person for Tapestry.
Big Fall Sunday

Big
Fall Sunday has come! This Sunday, 9
September, we will take a look back at the summer,
we'll look at where Tapestry is now, and we'll look
forward at all the great ways you can be involved for
the rest of '07. You'll get an overview of Tapestry's
current leadership and an outline for the next steps
in calling a new pastor. This will be a great Sunday
to invite those people you keep meaning to invite,
and the perfect Sunday to start back if you've been
gone for awhile. The fun doesn't stop there. After
the service join us at Thom and Lorie's for a
fire-pit weenie-roast! Hot dogs will be provided, so
bring a side to share. Click here for a map to
toasted tube-steaks and Big Fall
Fun.

Coming up
- MOPS starts 20 September, and it's not too late to register! If you're the mother of a preschooler, you can pre-register online here. Make sure to tell all the Tuscany moms you know about this great way to connect with other moms who live nearby.
- Love MOPS, but not a mother of a preschooler? Good news! MOPS still needs 3 MOPPETS workers to have a great time with a room full of preschool kids once a week. If you're interested, contact Amanda.
- Small Groups are back! If you'd like to connect with people at Tapestry during the week, right where you do life, this is the best way to do it. More details will be available at Big Fall Sunday.
- Nursery starts back on Big Fall Sunday, and volunteers are needed. Volunteering gives parents a much deserved break, and helps the whole congregation focus in prayer and worship. And because we ask parents to change their own kid's diapers as necessary, you don't even have to change a diaper to change lives! If you're willing to help, contact Janet.
