WEEKEND TO REMEMBER
Be sure to check out the info table at church or check out www.familylifecanada.org for an upcoming marriage retreat put by Family Life Canada. It will be in Banff, at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, April 30-May 2. Whether your marriage is on the ropes, just coasting, or pure bliss, there is something for everyone - including special Alumni breakout sessions. A great mix of sessions lead by 'been there, done that' couples, projects for you and your spouse, and a chance to get away with each other. If interested, be sure to contact Max & Lynda Blazina or Gordon & Andrea Weynschenk and if there are 4 or more couples, we can get the discounted group rate. Also, the hotel rooms are discounted to $129 / night, and this rate is available for nights outside of the conference from April 26-May 5.
YOUTH - LOCKOUT
This Friday the youth will be going to a Hitmen hockey game, rollerskating, out for pizza, and wrapping it up with a movie. Can you spell F-U-N?!?!?!? It is a joint get together with youth from churches all around Calgary - so come out for a great time and make some new friends! Call Josh or Kelly Genn, Curtis Bestard, or Erin Hertzsprung if you want to go. Cost is $30.
SUPPER WITH THE SHELTON'S
If you were not at church the last couple Sundays and didn't sign up for the best supper you could ever have, don't worry, you will get another chance! As Bob moves into his new role of Lead Pastor at Tapestry, he and his lovely wife Debbie would enjoy getting to know everyone a little better....and what better way then over the dinner table! The Sheltons would love for everyone to pick a date when they would be able to join them for some great hospitality in their home. The sign up sheet will be circulating again this Sunday, so pick your day!
FRIDAY NIGHT PRAYER
Everyone is invited for Friday Night Prayer this Friday, March 12th at 6:00 pm at David & Lauren's place (2 Seminary Ridge, Cochrane). Afterwards, you can be sure there will be some great hangout time with some games!
GIVING RECEIPTS
Charitable donation receipts for giving to Tapestry in 2009 will be available at church this coming Sunday. If you need your receipt before then, please contact Kevin Napady at 403-208-1318 and arrange a time to pick it up from him. Please give me him a day’s notice so he can ensure it's ready.
PRAYING FOR ONE ANOTHER
This week, please pray for Sophie Worden, and the Yeo family (Steve, Tracey, Victoria, Nicholas, and Leroy). As well, please remember the Weynschenk family as they travel to BC to be with Gordon's mom. She is undergoing surgery for breast cancer, and doctors have also found cancer in her bones. Another request is to remember Dennis Fahner, Lisa Snyman's dad. We rejoice at God's miraculous healing to this point, and pray for him as he faces upcoming surgery for multiple skull fractures. If you desire the church to join with you in prayer for any needs, please contact Lynda Blazina who will 'send it down' the prayer chain.
BIRTHDAYS THIS WEEK...
Can you believe it? No birthdays this week! If you're planning to start or increase your family, aim for this week next year and your child will have this week to themselves! Did we miss you or someone in your family? Let Steve know and we'll update our records.
